About Us

We are a nickel and cobalt mining company based in Kazakhstan in an early stage of operation. We are focused on conducting our operations in an ecologically responsible manner and plan to extract nickel and cobalt from the ground at our Gornostay Project exclusively using in-situ recovery, or ISR, mining technology. We believe our Gornostay Project will be among the first mining projects in the world to commercially mine nickel and cobalt using this mining method. Our aim is to achieve a production capacity level of 20,000 tonnes of nickel per year, in order to sustain our capital objectives.

Group structure

Battery Metals Technologies Ltd. was incorporated on 27 November 2020 as a public company limited by shares in Singapore. We are an investment holding company and a sole owner of KazNickel, that was established on 4 March 2004 as a limited liability partnership in Kazakhstan. KazNickel primarily engages in the exploration and production of nickel-cobalt deposits of our Gornostay Project. Our Company acquired of the entire participatory interest in KazNickel on 15 December 2020.

Battery Metals Technologies (BMT) is wholly-owned by FNK, a limited liability partnership established under the laws of Kazakhstan. In its turn, FNK is controlled by Fincraft Resources JSC, a Kazakhstan joint stock company with KASE listing.
